First introduced in 1993, The Balvenie 12 Year Old DoubleWood remains a true Speyside classic. Crafted through a signature double maturation process, it spends over 12 years in traditional American oak ex-bourbon barrels and hogsheads, gaining smooth layers of honey, vanilla, and gentle spice. It is then finished in Spanish oak ex-Oloroso sherry casks, adding depth, warmth, and notes of dried fruit and rich sweetness.

Finally, the whisky is rested in large oak marrying tuns, allowing all the flavours to harmonise perfectly before bottling.
